Dear Parents and Carers,
A warm welcome from myself and all at Highlands College as we embark upon another academic year. We take immense pride in the outstanding achievements of our students and their successful transition into universities and the workforce, and look forward to another year of teaching, learning and skills development.
To the parents and carers of our new Year 1 students, we extend a warm welcome to you and your child and thank you for choosing Highlands College as the next step in their educational journey. We are genuinely excited about getting to know your young person over the coming years, and are looking forward to helping them achieve their full potential.
You have likely been introduced to our comprehensive support systems through our various open evenings and should be aware of our Parent and Carer handbook, which compliments the dedicated Parent and Carer section on the College website. These resources are designed to ensure that new students settle in as smoothly as possible, while answering any initial questions you may have. Your initial point of contact will be your child's personal tutor, who will be reaching out to introduce themselves to you early in this half term.
To the parents and carers of our returning students, we hope your children have had a restful and enjoyable summer break and are ready to continue their learning with renewed energy and enthusiasm.
Wishing a successful and enriching academic year ahead for all our students.
Warm regards,
Jo Terry-Marchant
Principal
