Would Your Students Speak Up if Something Felt Wrong?
Call it out reminder and anti-bullying awareness week
All young people have the right to feel safe.
This feeling of safety could be compromised if someone feels they are being intimidated by someone else (including sexual harassment), they witness anti-social behaviour, or feel bullied.
As it is anti-bullying awareness week, we would like to take the opportunity to remind you again about our ‘Call It Out’ process. This is to help and encourage our students to speak up about feeling bullied, intimidated, or uncomfortable about someone else’s behaviour towards them. We have an email they can use to report this quickly and easily. Please remind them of ‘call it out’ and how they can use an email option to report their concerns. The email address is callitout@highlands.ac.uk.
Here’s the Highlands College Policy Highlight for the counter bullying and harassment policy produced by Kelly Freitas for students.
