Principal’s Update
So, here we are at the end of another academic year.😊
We’ve already said goodbye to Traci O’Dea, Head of Adult and Community Education, who has returned to the USA. What a lovely barbeque on Friday afternoon where a few tears were shed. Liam Mc Dermott, Head of Finance is on paternity leave until September.
Colleagues will be busy this week in staff development sessions. Can I say thank you again for your great contributions during the Strategy workshops on Friday morning. It’s really hit home to me the sense of community and joint enterprise, as I look at creating the next plan with you.
There are five staff vacancies to fill, with interviews continuing to take place this week. We hope to be fully staffed by September, albeit with some roles on an interim status.
On Thursday, our last day of term for teaching staff, we will say a fond farewell to three staff, and welcome three new joiners to the organisation. I will also do a quick round up of the year and summarise the support staff plans over the summer for Estates and IT.
I will be in next week and Rob Moy for most of the summer. SLT, Employability and Examinations will also be in over results days and enrolments to ensure we transition students into the next year. If you need to get hold of us, please email Sam Clark and Julie Cruise.
Have a great week and enjoy the development sessions.
Best wishes
Jo
