Politicians label Academy Restaurant “absolutely excellent”
During Friday’s (6 December) Children, Education and Home Affairs Scrutiny Panel hearing, the Constable for Grouville, Mark Labey praised our Academy Restaurant:
“I’d like to make a public statement, we received a meal last night at the Highlands catering unit, which I thought was absolutely excellent. With regards to apprenticeships, further training, higher education, they’re doing a fantastic job and they certainly did last night at our Christmas dinner.”

Constable Mark Labey’s words were echoed by the Minister for Education, Deputy Rob Ward who said:
.
“It was absolutely excellent. This is the type of thing we need to recognise more, there is real quality training going on in the island. It is a real kitchen and I would say, it is open to the public to go and book. You can watch on the screen what’s happening in the kitchen, meet the students themselves and it was absolutely excellent. Well done to Highlands College and the Highlands Academy and the Culinary Arts department. Good luck to them!”
