Planet Prose Short Story Competition
Please promote with students:
Children and young people aged 6 to 18 are invited to participate in the Planet Prose short story competition for World Book Day 2024. Stories should explore the power of storytelling to inspire change and promote a sustainable future. Each submission will be judged on creativity and imagination, originality, emotional impact, clarity and structure, and relevance to the themes.
The competition is divided into three categories with one winner per category:
Aged 6 to 10
Aged 11 to 14
Aged 15 to 18
Winners will be announced on World Book Day, Thursday 7 March. Entries must be submitted to ecoactive@gov.je with ‘Planet Prose Short Story Submission’ plus the child’s name and age category as the subject line by Wednesday 14 February. The stories should be no longer than 600 words.
