P.R.I.D.E. of Highlands College 6th Form Awards & Highlands College 6th Form Festival of Celebration
As we enter the final term of the academic year, the events team has begun preparing for the sixth form celebrations.
This year, the celebration will span across two days:
Highlands College 6th Form Festival of Celebration
Friday, 14 June 2024 | 12pm-3pm | Playing Field
- Complimentary BBQ food.
- Trade stalls for students to purchase additional food and treats.
- DJ music stage.
- Games and activities.
- Large marquee for eating and sunshade.
- Outdoor seating areas.
- SALT will be invited to give input on options for the festival.
P.R.I.D.E of Highlands College 6th Form Awards
Thursday, 20 June 2024 | 6.30pm-9pm | Great Hall
- Catering and champagne welcome.
- Former Culinary student Glenn Noel will be speaking.
- Staff will receive the voting form on 19 April 2024.
- The deadline for voting is Monday, 20 May 2024.
Nominations
Nominations for the 2024 P.R.I.D.E of Highlands College 6th form awards are now open!
As with last year, departments are being asked to choose a student to win an award for excellence in their area.
We will also have the 5 cross college awards again, to celebrate those students who have truly lived the college values of Potential, Respect, Imagination, Diversity and Excellence during their time here at Highlands. These are known as the P.R.I.D.E awards.
We ask that all HODs submit a student for an award for Excellence in their subject area and nominate a student for at least 3 of the cross-college pride awards.

Please note nominations must be submitted by Friday 17 May (deadline will be put as a calendar entry into HODs in our diaries).
