New Website: Staff Engagement
Work on the new Highlands College website is progressing well, and it feels really exciting to be working with the creative and ambitious team at Halo (the supplier).
We want to keep you informed with what’s happening behind the scenes – and encourage you to chat to any of our web team about the process.
Since the last update in the weekly bulletin, drop-in sessions for the project should have appeared in your diary.
We encourage you to get involved in this project as we see the new website as a tool which will support you during your time at Highlands.

Over the next couple of weeks we will host staff engagement sessions which are a chance for you to have YOUR SAY. They will be held in two formats:
- Drop-in sessions: The drop-ins will be hosted by Rob Moy and Jess Tidswell on Tuesday 10 and Tuesday 17 December, 12-12:45pm in Café Connect. Or, if you’d prefer, you can submit your questions via the QR code below and they will be answered here, in the weekly bulletin.

2. Invited group workshops: Colleagues who have been invited to represent a department in a workshop with Halo are as follows:
- Principality – Jo Terry-Marchant
- Curriculum – Kate Hobbs
- Apprenticeships – Tony Tyrer
- University College Jersey – Ben Bennett / Andrew McGinnigle

If your department is not represented, and you would like to be involved in these workshops, please let Jess Tidswell know asap as these are taking place this week.
What’s Next?

The next phase will involve colleagues from across the college and will focus on gathering course information for all sub-brand areas.
This will allow us to have consistency across our course offering on the website.
More information on this will be given to Heads of Departments and Programme Leads – and communicated through the bulletin.
Keeping Up-to-Date
Once we reach the development phase next year, Halo will provide a link to a staging site which can be shared with all staff. This will give you the chance to have a look at how it’s coming together and submit any questions as the process moves along.
