New Helpdesk
From Monday the 1st of July we will be changing over to a new helpdesk service.
Highlands College – Service Desk (invgate.net)
This has been in development over the last few months, and we have been working with many departments to tailor it so that it best fits their purpose. Several categories have been dropped and there are additional features such as FAQ’s and KB articles that will hopefully answer many of the simpler questions which staff have. There are also additional areas now available for support requests, including media and exams.
We are launching it now so that staff can become familiar with it before the start of the new term and provide any useful feedback. We are also looking to make it available to students from September via the website.
I would encourage everyone to use this service when requesting any help as it allows us to track where issues lie and how they are being addressed. Hopefully, you will find this new product easier and more beneficial than the previous helpdesk, even if it is just the Single Sign On ability that is in operation.
