H&B won TWO Awards!

We are thrilled to share that Highlands College Hair and Beauty Academy has clinched not one, but two highly desirable national awards at the recent Association of Hairdressers and Therapists (AHT) Learning and Development Forum 2024

The Hair & Beauty team stood out among UK nominees, securing the tiles of “An Exceptional Team 2024” and jointly with Newcastle College “The Overall Winner of 2024“.

The success of the Hair and Beauty Department can be attributed to its holistic approach to education. Recently, students benefited from an exclusive Total Wellness Program designed to enhance their well-being and academic journey. This program included fitness packages, personal presentation workshops, and accredited mental wellness courses, equipping students with essential strategies for their studies and future careers.

Moreover, the department’s commitment to inclusivity is evident through initiatives such as ‘Dip into Drag’ workshops, participation in LGBT+ events, and active collaboration with local charities to support vulnerable communities.
