🔹Finance Updates & Training
Important Update: New Process for Café Connect
As part of our alignment with the Public Finance Manual and best practice within the Government of Jersey, we are introducing a new process when buying small item catering from Café Connect for individual meetings (or small tea and coffee orders).
Who it applies to…
🔹 This applies to any member of staff who uses a ledger code for catering in the cafe – whether that’s for meetings, visitors, lunches etc.
How to borrow a ledger card…
🔹 APs and the Senior Leadership Team will now hold ledger cards, which must be used for small catering orders (they’re similar to staff ID cards). If you would like to buy a drink for a visitor/guest for a meeting, please ask your AP or a member of the SLT for their card.
Cafe Connect…
🔹 Ledger cards will be the only accepted method for staff/visitor catering payments.
Students and Student Life…
🔹Nicola Brown will hold the card for Student Life.
This new process takes effect from 10 March 2025.
We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring compliance with financial guidelines. If you have any questions, please speak with Liam McDermott or Rob Moy.
