Celebrating Success: Grainville School Girls Shine in CyberFirst Challenge at Highlands College
Highlands College recently hosted two exceptional teams of Year 8 girls for the CyberFirst Girls Challenge. Among them were talented students from Grainville School, who earned their spot by excelling in the Bebras Challenge, showcasing their problem-solving skills and digital literacy.
This achievement is part of Highlands College’s initiative to enhance digital literacy among students before they join us. By building strong digital foundations early, we aim to cultivate a new generation of digital talent for the island.
Promoting gender diversity in tech is also a key goal. By encouraging more women and girls to engage in STEM activities, we hope to inspire future female leaders in technology.
Rebecca Stephenson, the Digital Lead for the college, facilitated this event, ensuring it was a valuable and inspiring experience for all participants.
Highlands College is committed to supporting our feeder schools, providing resources and encouragement to help students excel. Congratulations to all participants, especially the Grainville School teams, for their outstanding performance. Keep inspiring others with your achievements!
