Deaf Awareness Week 2023 – ‘Raise your hands’

The theme of this year’s Deaf Awareness Week (1st – 7th May) is ‘Access to Communication’ in light of the British Sign language (BSL) Act which was passed on 28 April 2022 by the UK Parliament. ‘Raise your hands’ is an initiative to encourage as many colleagues and pupils to become acquainted with BSL and see how easy it is to learn.
