An Update from Student Life
Student Life bid farewell to Nicola Brown last term. It was lovely to see so many of you at our ‘open office’ for coffee and cake. We are very pleased to welcome Sarah Walker to our team and we are excited and happy to be working together!
Student Life are hosting an early evening information session on Monday 19 January, about understanding anxiousness in young people and how to offer support/strategies. This is primarily for parents, but CAMHS kindly offered some time to invite staff to attend before the parent session. The staff session will be 4-5pm in the hall and parents will have a session 5-7.30pm. If a staff member would like to attend, please accept the meeting request we have sent in order for us to let CAMHS know so they can plan their time, and we can organise refreshments. The facilitator for the session will be Kirsty Mosely who we work closely with as our link contact for the Early Intervention service.

You will also hopefully have seen information sent out from Mind Jersey, who are offering an exciting opportunity for 8 young people aged 16 to 25 to learn creative performance skills with the aim of exploring community, connection and mental health. This is a free course that will guide young people through a collaborative approach to making theatre, where their voice matters and will be reflected in the final performance to a public audience. No experience is needed – see the poster for contact details and more information.
