Works Taking Place Across College Over The Easter Break
Campus access/ egress via St Saviour’s Hill
The above access will be closed for the entire duration of the Easter break (2-17 April) so for those staff in, please park in the main car park for this period. This is due to electrical works being undertaken to Art, Sport and Media and PSC which will involve trenching in this area. You’ll be pleased to hear that the traffic lights currently in place will be removed before staff and students return on 20 April. Some of you have noted that the traffic mirrors opposite the access road on St Saviour’s Hill require repositioning and replacement and this will be completed on 15 April.
.
Art, Sport, Media & Professional
There will be no electrical power to the above three buildings between 3 April and 15 April. This is due to electrical cable installation which is imperative for the various boiler works scheduled throughout the summer break. We have consulted with the relevant Heads of Department and contingency plans have been put in place to relocate some staff to the HIC and other areas across college during this period. G4S will be on site 24/7 starting on 2 April and finishing 18 April acting as fire watch and monitoring security of these buildings.
.
Other works of note
- Repair of leaking roof above UC306
- Replacement of windows to 360 room in Nightingale (scaffold tower going up on 1 April).
- Various repairs to affected walls in Turner 5, 8 and 13
.
Please do not hesitate to contact the Estates team should you have any queries.
Hoping you have a relaxing Easter break.
