Jersey Eisteddfod Returns: Please Plan Ahead
Jersey Eisteddfod On Site Next Week – Important Parking & Access Information
Increased visitors on site from week commencing 9 March 2026 – parking and Great Hall access changes in place.
Next week, the Jersey Eisteddfod will be hosting the French and Modern Languages sections on site. As a result, we will see an increased number of visitors throughout the week.
.
As we all know, parking on site is limited and can be challenging at busy times. Following the issues experienced last year, we have requested that the number of parent visitors be limited. Our priority must remain our staff and students, and we are keen to minimise disruption across our parking areas.
.
To support this, we strongly encourage staff and students, where possible, to car share, use public transport, cycle or walk to site during the week commencing 9 March 2026.
.
There will also be some high-volume periods where no parents or audience members will be permitted due to maximum seating capacity in the Hall. These times are:
-
Tuesday 9:30–10:30
-
Thursday 13:30–14:00
.
Please also note that the Hall will be closed all week for access across the Turner Building. Please remind students where possible.
.
If any students require this route for access, please contact Celina Crenan for further details and advice.
.
What we are doing:
-
Jersey Eisteddfod volunteers will be on site to signpost parents and ensure access is limited to the Great Hall only.
-
Celina Crenan and Jess Tidswell are the main points of contact for any concerns.
-
Ensuring that all visitors are signed in to ensure the safeguard our staff and students.
.
What you’re kindly being asked to do:
-
Where possible please, car share, use public transport, cycle or walk to college during the week commencing 9 March 2026.
-
Please communicate this message with your students.
.
Important note:
As the Marketing and Events Team is currently operating at 50% capacity, please be mindful that requests for support for other events may not receive a prompt response next week.
