Health Surveillance Assessments
Early Support & Precautionary Care
To help keep everyone safe and well at work, as you may be aware, Health Partners are the new Government of Jersey Occupational Health provider who have taken over from AXA and will be providing some employees with Health Surveillance medical assessments.
Health Surveillance assessments are for employees in certain job roles which have the potential to cause them harm if adequate mitigations are not in place. For example, woodworking technicians who are exposed to wood dust.
As a precautionary and supportive measure, health surveillance assessments are being rolled out across all CYPES school/college settings for staff who fall into certain categories e.g. Minibus Drivers, caretakers and facilities staff, Technicians and staff working in Metalwork/Fabrication and Carpentry Workshop and any catering staff involved in food handling.
I will be contacting the relevant staff who fall into these categories over the next week to provide their contact details, in order for Health Partners to schedule appointments to carry out the assessments. These will be held in college.
Please do not hesitate to contact Ben Smith in Facilities should you have any queries.
