🔹Behind The Lanyard
Highlands Staff Compete in Hillclimb
.
.
Over the easter break, staff members Jordan Neill and Alex Salmon both took part in the first Bouley Bay Hillclimb of the year.
Jordan, competing in his first event, raced his restored and modified Peugeot 205 GTI, with support from fellow staff members Mike Neild and Jarred Smith to get the car ready. Despite changeable conditions in the morning, Jordan achieved some very respectable times for his debut, improving throughout the day and finishing with a time of 54.45 seconds.
Also competing was Alex Salmon, who borrowed a 650-horsepower Gould GR37 single-seater racing car for the first time. With limited testing and a steep learning curve, Alex still managed to get the car to the top of the hill in 44.21 seconds — with plenty of room for improvement on future runs!
