Police Advisory Notice

The St. Saviour Police Liaison Officer has received reports from concerned residents regarding near head-on collisions occurring between vehicles exiting Highlands College and oncoming traffic. This area has recently transitioned to a two-way traffic system, which is expected to remain in place for the foreseeable future.

Motorists are reminded to be aware of the two-way traffic system, remain vigilant for oncoming vehicles, and ensure they stay on the left-hand side of the road at all times.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated in keeping our roads safe for everyone.

Porter’s Lodge

Fire safety works will be undertaken in the Porter’s Lodge over the Easter break which will include installation of fire rated partitioning. Following completion of these works, the caretakers will be relocated to the Porter’s Lodge and the reprographics function will move into the HIC. The access route through the Porter’s Lodge will be maintained throughout the project and use of the lift will not be affected.

Fire Alarm Servicing

The contractor CI Fire will be carrying out the annual fire alarm servicing at the following locations:

• Highlands Professional Study Centre: Thursday 10 April, from 13:30

• Highlands School of Art: Friday 11 April, from 13:30

• Stephenson Building: Thursday 17 April, from 13:30

During these times, there will be some sporadic fire alarm soundings, which may be disruptive but will be kept to a minimum. There will be no need to evacuate the building.
