Job role: Administrator – Curriculum
Why you wanted to join Highlands?
I have been wanting to be more involved in the public sector for quite some time to support the local community. Working with various departments, which provide education for our islanders sounds very rewarding. Given that by background is admin, which I do enjoy, this role is a great fit for me!
Are you from Jersey?
I originally come from Poland but have been in Jersey for over 20 years. I quickly settled here and absolutely love what it has to offer and the lifestyle. It is very different to the mountains I come from but I definitely call it my home, enjoy the outdoor activities and the fact there are so many opportunities in such a small place.
Tell us something we may not know about you?
I am passionate about health, mental wellbeing and making a positive impact where we can.

Job role:Â Head of Adult Community Education
Why you wanted to join Highlands?
I’m passionate about training and development and about supporting people in the Jersey community. After working for Acorn for the last 10 years this role was the perfect new challenge for me.
Are you from Jersey?
I was born in Kent, grew up in Cornwall, studied and lived in Brighton, then lived in Essex and moved to Jersey 14 years ago! Having grown up in Cornwall, Jersey was like a home from home for me in terms of the landscape and the beaches and the cliff paths and a great place to bring up kids.
Tell us something we may not know about you?
I sing in a local choir called Concordia, they gave me an award in January for being the ‘most smiley singer’ (basically code for, what I lack in talent, I make up for in enthusiasm!)  I love to go and see local theatre productions in Jersey and often make trips to London to see west end shows.

Job role: Project Manager
Why you wanted to join Highlands?
Because life is too short for boring projects! Highlands College is all about learning, growth, and making a difference. That’s exactly what I love – bringing people together, solving problems, and making things run smoothly (with minimal chaos and a little bit of fun).
Are you from Jersey?
Nope! I grew up in Poland, where winters are colder, summers are much hotter, and “pierogi” are a way of life. Jersey, however, won me over with its stunning coastline, friendly people, and the fact that you can get from one end of the island to the other without needing a three-hour road trip.
