SMILE – It’s staff photos time!

As part of our work to be more inclusive and improve accessibility, we would like to get new staff headshots of everyone who works at Highlands College.
This is an opportunity for us to update photos and bring them inline to ensure they all meet the same standard.
Photos will be taken in the Lewis Studio (Media building), by Ben Pirozzolo. Please speak to your Head of Department and book your slot here: SLT and HoDs headshots.xlsx
We are keen to see the photo used for the following:
- Teams/email profile picture
- EBS to improve staff identification
- To update your staff ID badge (optional)
- As part of our new bulletin feature ‘introducing… *insert your department/team*’. This feature is designed to help improve understanding of what each team across the college does and offers.
Each Head of Department has been sent the spreadsheet to fill out a suitable time for your photo – we’re hoping to complete this before the end of term.
SLT + HoDs, your photos will be taken professionally (date and time TBC) and form part of our new website – under what is currently a ‘meet the team’ page. As mentioned in Friday’s HoDs meeting, please think about what prop(s) you’d like to represent your department or if not applicable, then your previous career. (examples here)
I’m aware not everyone will love the idea of having their photo taken, but please know how useful this will be in improving communications across the college. You’re also more than welcome to see your photo before it’s saved on the system.
