Base-Room Enrichment afternoon at the Gaming Hub

A small group of students who access our base-room went for an enrichment afternoon at the gaming hub, this enrichment activity was chosen by the students and it was a fantastic opportunity to spend time outside of college and without the stress of assignments and work.

The afternoon started in Café Connect where we all ate freshly made pizzas thanks to our amazing café staff, and we then hopped on the mini-bus, held our breath and thought it was the start of a FORZA game with Ruth’s driving! We then headed for the Gaming hub, and students were able to select games and either play together or singularly.

The feedback was great, the enrichment programme that will begin again in September will see an array of events for our neurodiverse students and allow them to build their confidence social skills and relationships with their fellow base room users.
