Carpentry and Bricklaying Construction Training for Jersey Overseas Aid Volunteers
The College conducted a specialised training session in carpentry and bricklaying construction for Jersey Overseas Aid Volunteers.
Hosted by Highlands College, this engaging session was conducted by Pat and Mick on Saturday, 9 March. Designed specifically for the 24 volunteers embarking to Nepal and Kenya in the forthcoming months, the training provided essential skills and knowledge to support the communities abroad. Participants had the invaluable opportunity to delve into fundamental techniques of carpentry and bricklaying, equipping them with the proficiency needed to contribute effectively to projects in their respective destinations. The session was marked by active participation, with volunteers expressing great satisfaction in the various new skills.
The volunteers and college extend our deepest gratitude to Pat and Mick, for their support and expertise in delivering such training.
