World Wetland’s Day

World Wetland’s Day is celebrated on the 2nd of February annually. Last year, Jersey Marine Conservation hosted a very successful event aimed at children. This year, they are directing their efforts towards young adults/adults. They are hosting a World Wetlands Day Talk, ‘Introducing Jersey’s Wetlands’, spreading awareness of wetlands worldwide and, importantly, here in Jersey. The evening will consist of short talks from various speakers and a panel Q&A.

The event is on Monday, 29th January, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the Radisson Blu Hotel. Tickets can be reserved by visiting https://www.jerseyislandgeopark.org.je/activities/world-wetlands-day-talk/. However, as they have recently increased the venue size, walk-ins are strongly encouraged! The event is free for anyone to attend.
