Highlands College EBS Development Group
We are pleased to provide an update on the ongoing development of the college data systems by the College Information Systems Group (CIS). Out of the 24 aspects identified for improvement, we are proud to announce that 13 have been successfully completed or are in the final stages of sign-off. These include:

Learner Profile – New report developed in onTrack to pull Key support information into a single document (SEN, MLL, English Proficiency, JPP, Access Arrangements, etc.)

Maths & English – Highest grade report – dynamic report to show highest grade achieved in M&E and the course tutor group enrolled onto

HoD dashboard

New chart to show Maths & English Attendance by Tutor Group

New chart to show holistic attendance for main aim plus any M&E attendance

Automated email absence reporting to Employers for Apprenticeships

Exam Registration – Automate exam registration process based on active enrolments

Applications & Admissions

New workflow to automate offers to students based on progress status

Enrolment confirmation – New system created to enable student to electronically self-confirm acceptance of enrolment

Careers Portal – School career teacher access to update student application reference data

Student AD Accounts – Duplication issue resolved minimizing issues with access to student accounts / O365.

Bulk Correspondence – Template letter and printing issues rectified.

Student Age – amended to show current actual age in EBS

Student Safety Plan – now available for Examinations Team

Document Control – Read only access to key student support documents.

Xello Export file – career data collection

Perlos integration export file for destination data collection

Ontrack report for JPP and ALS attendance

Register Marks by Percentage – New report with drilldown option by register mark.
These accomplished aspects represent significant progress in enhancing our data systems, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and security across various college operations. We commend the hard work and dedication of the CIS team in achieving these milestones.
The remaining 11 aspects will continue to be actively developed, with a commitment to maintaining the high standards set in the completed phases. We anticipate that these remaining aspects will be addressed in a timely manner as we strive for continuous improvement in our data systems.
