🔹What Do You Know About Endometriosis?
Endometriosis is the second most common gynaecological condition in the UK, affecting between 2 and 10 women out of 100 women.
It occurs when tissue similar to the inner lining of the womb is found elsewhere in the body, usually in the pelvis around the womb, ovaries, and fallopian tubes. On average, it takes 8 years and 10 months from the first GP visit to get a diagnosis. It affects around 1 in 10 women or those assigned female at birth. This is how some of our students describe how it affects their life.
