Appreciations

Chuks John

Chuks started with us in October and built upon the solid work Jordan Neill did coordinating the LSBU programmes. He has made a significant and consistent contribution to the success of the Construction, Construction Management, and Civil Engineering programmes. He contributes to all aspects of programme delivery and quality assurance for the LSBU-franchised and validated courses, while also teaching across all levels.   He is approachable, reliable, and regularly goes the extra mile to help students succeed. His efforts have had a positive impact on student satisfaction across the programmes as seen in the recent SPQ’s and PCM feedback from student reps.  He plays a key role in maintaining and improving academic standards. Chuks works closely with staff and is in constant contact with LSBU to ensure course and assessment content is received and passed on to teaching staff and students.  Chuks has made a real difference to both students and colleagues, and he is a very deserving nominee for this award.

Michelle Ollivro-Murphy

Michelle has gone above and beyond in organising work experience placements for Pathways and Step-Up learners. She tirelessly contacted employers, arranged visits, and managed placements through Navigate. For students who didn’t secure placements, she created meaningful job insight opportunities—like visits to farms and building sites. Her dedication ensured every learner had a valuable experience. Many students, initially nervous, came away feeling confident and inspired. One learner was even offered a part-time chef role at the Radisson, and Michelle is now supporting him through that process. Her efforts have significantly improved student outcomes and confidence. She truly deserves recognition.

Jessica Tidswell

All round positive colleague – embodies all our values, very good connector, driven to do her best all the time. Jess always approaches task with a smile. In less than a year the team are making great progress under her leadership. Positive and proactive and having a great impact on our reputation.
