Danielle Schenk
- She’s not just a great manager but a true source of support and kindness. Always kind, always listening, and always there when you need her. No matter the challenge, she is always there with a solution, a kind word and support. She always acknowledges the work done. No matter how busy things get, she makes time for everyone, offering encouragement, advice, especially how to use Excel 🙂 or simply a friendly ear. Her kindness and patience create a work environment where people feel valued and understood. Thank you, Danielle, for being an exceptional Line Manager.

James Bennett
- This nomination is for James Bennett because working with a supportive and considerate manager makes all the difference—especially when navigating changes in a well-established environment. His ability to guide the team through transitions with empathy, creates a sense of stability and trust. What truly stands out is his confidence in the skills and judgment of his team. It gives us space to grow and feel confident in what we’re doing. It’s genuinely a pleasure to be part of a team led by someone passionate, experienced, and dedicated. Feeling supported and appreciated makes the work truly rewarding.
. - I would like to nominate James for recognition for his outstanding contributions to our team. James consistently goes above and beyond in every aspect of his role. Whether it’s staying late to ensure a project is completed on time or stepping in to support a colleague without hesitation, his dedication is second to none. James approaches every task with a can-do attitude, bringing such positivity to the workplace. His professionalism is second to none—he handles every situation with integrity, and a calm demeanour that inspires confidence in those around him. A true team player, James is always the first to offer assistance, share knowledge, and uplift others. James exemplifies what it means to be a dedicated, collaborative, and professional team member. He sets the standard for excellence and is truly deserving of this recognition.
Jorge Calaca
- Jorge always brightens our day when we visit Cafe Connect, he is always friendly and approachable and prioritises customer service above all else. He provides great recommendations and always remembers our personal orders! We appreciate Jorge everyday and especially at this time of year when we need our coffee. Thanks Jorge! Stuart Philip
- I would like to nominate Stuart for recognition, as he truly embodies the spirit of dedication and professionalism at Highlands. Stuart is a true professional who consistently goes above and beyond—not just for his immediate team, but for the entire college community. He always has the best interests of his team and the wider college at heart, making decisions and taking actions that reflect a deep commitment to student success and staff wellbeing. Stuart is known for spending countless hours poring over spreadsheets, determined to track down every last student, ensuring no one is left behind. What sets Stuart apart is not just his work ethic, but his character. He always has a kind word to say about everyone, creating a positive and supportive atmosphere wherever he goes. His willingness to go the extra mile, no matter the task, makes him an invaluable member of the Highlands family.
