🔹Help Us Choose Our ED&I Partner
As part of our ongoing commitment to building a more inclusive and equitable culture at Highlands College, we are currently exploring formal DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) accreditation and long-term partnerships with specialist organisations.
Having an external DEI partner helps us:
-
Benchmark our progress and identify gaps
- Access expert support, training, and resources
-
Demonstrate our values publicly and internally
-
Ensure we are creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all students and staff
We’ve now completed a comparison of several well-regarded organisations in this space, both UK-based and local Jersey partners and are considering a hybrid approach that combines strategic expertise with local relevance.

We want to hear your views!
We invite all staff to review the comparison document below and share any thoughts, questions, or preferred options with Mike Watkins or Rafal Niezabitowski. Your feedback will help shape the final recommendation to the Senior Leadership Team.

🗓️ Drop-In Discussion – Come Along!
To open this up for wider discussion, we’ll be holding a short drop-in session in the Great Hall on Thursday 9 October from 12:00 to 12:15. We’ll briefly walk through the comparison, answer questions, and listen to your feedback.
This is an important step in our college’s inclusion journey, and we’d love for as many voices as possible to help shape the direction we take.
